REMINDER: US 190 Eastbound at LA 1 to close for Milling and Overlay Work - West Baton Rouge Parish

BATON ROUGE, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that US 190 eastbound at LA 1 in West Baton Rouge Parish will be closed on Saturday, February 28 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. to allow crews to complete milling operations on the roadway.
The same closure will occur on Saturday, March 7 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for asphalt overlay work.
During both closures, motorists traveling eastbound on US 190 will need to use LA 1 to access I-10 in order to cross the Mississippi River.
LA 1 northbound to US 190 eastbound will be closed during this time. Motorists traveling northbound on LA 1 who need to access US 190 may use the frontage road to reach US 190 westbound. Access to US 190 eastbound will not be accessible from this location during the closure.
Motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly, allow additional travel time and exercise caution in the work zone area.
