RESCHEDULED - LANE/RAMP CLOSURES: I-20 westbound at Fairfield Ave., Caddo Parish
(UPDATE 3/5/2026): DOTD advises motorists that the below referenced ramp and lane closures have been rescheduled to take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026 due to forecasted inclement weather.

Original notification - 2/26/2026:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on Sunday, March 8, 2026, I-20 westbound at the Fairfield Avenue interchange in Shreveport, Caddo Parish will be reduced to two lanes for the purpose of bridge inspection.
Additionally, the following ramp closures will be in place:
- Common Street on-ramp to I-20 westbound
- LA 1 (Market St) southbound on-ramp to I-20 westbound
- I-20 westbound off-ramp to Fairfield Ave.
These lane and ramp closures are scheduled to be in place from approximately 7:00 a.m. to noon for one (1) day.
DOTD bridge inspectors and equipment will be on site, so motorists are urged to drive with extreme caution through the work zones.
Restrictions/Permits: Total ramp closures at the specified locations. All vehicles will need to utilize alternate routes.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
