NEW ORLEANS — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) provides an update on repair work for the US 90 Chef Menteur Pass Bridge. Crews have finished the repairs that can be completed without specialized equipment. Additional work that requires scaffolding is expected to start soon. Once scaffolding is in place, the remaining repairs are expected to take about 3 to 4 weeks to finish, weather permitting. DOTD will continue to provide updates as the work progresses.
Previous Release: NEW ORLEANS – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) has closed the US 90 Chef Menteur Pass Bridge due to structural concerns identified during a bridge inspection.
The bridge will remain closed to vehicular traffic until further notice.
Marine traffic will remain open.
DOTD will provide updates as additional information becomes available.
