DOTD to host public meeting for proposed roundabout in Lincoln Parish LINCOLN PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will host an open house public meeting to provide information and gather input regarding a proposed roundabout in Ruston, Lincoln Parish.
Meeting details are as follows:
Tuesday, March 3, 2026 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Lincoln Parish Public Library Jack Beard Community Room 910 N. Trenton Street Ruston, LA 71270 The purpose of the meeting is to solicit feedback from residents, elected officials, interested parties, and other stakeholders, as well as to provide information related to the project. The open house format of the meeting allows attendees to come and go at any point during the allotted time frame and receive the same information.
The project involves constructing a double lane roundabout at the intersection of LA 150 (W. Martin Luther King Jr. Ave) and LA 818 (Tarbutton Road), which would replace the current traffic configuration of stop signs and flashing beacons.
When placed appropriately, roundabouts have been proven to significantly improve safety by eliminating certain conflict points that have the potential to lead to severe crashes. Roundabouts also increase efficiency by allowing traffic to flow continuously through the intersection instead of forcing vehicles to a stop.

DOTD urges members of the community and other interested stakeholders to attend the meeting and share in the project development process.
