Ascension Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that Devall Road over the Drainage Ditch, located approximately 500 feet west of Marblestone Avenue, will be closed to all traffic beginning Monday March 9th, 2026, weather permitting.
The closure is necessary to allow for the removal and replacement of Devall Road bridge. This work is part of DOTD’s ongoing efforts to maintain safe and reliable infrastructure.
During the closure, Devall Road will be impassable at the bridge location. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes, follow the posted detour routes, and to allow additional travel time. Local access will be maintained up to the closure limits; however, no through traffic will be permitted.
The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately 4 months, depending on weather conditions and construction progress.
