DOTD announces La. 975 bridges open to traffic, bridge replacement project complete

ST. MARTIN PARISH, La. - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that work is now complete on the $1.7 million dollar bridge replacement project along La. 975 between La. 190 to I-10 in St. Martin Parish.
This project consisted of the removal of two existing timber bridges, installation of two new concrete slab span bridges and related work.
The contractor for the project was Elevate Heavy Civil Construction based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Work on this project began in September 2025 and was completed in Febraury 2026.
DOTD thanks the residents and commuters for their patience and cooperation during this essential infrastructure upgrade.
