Update (3/5/2026): LA 849 in Caldwell Parish (Project#H.015777) cross drain replacement is completed and is still under the alternating lane closures with the contractor providing a pilot car under the existing notice for LA 126 and LA 849.
Update (2/26/2026): LA 849 in Caldwell Parish (Project#H.015777) will be closed just south of Little Star Road beginning Monday, March 2, 2026, through Thursday, March 5, 2026, for the contractor to complete a cross drain replacement.
Detour/Permit: LA 850 to US 165 to LA 126.
Update (2/23/2026): LA 849 in Caldwell Parish (Project#H.015777) will not be closed. The work will be completed under alternating lane closures.
Detour/Permit: Alternating lane closures. No detour necessary.
Update (2/16/2026): LA 849 in Caldwell Parish (Project#H.015777) will be closed just south of Little Star Rd beginning Friday, February 20, 2026, through Friday, February 27, 2026, for the contractor to complete a cross drain replacement.
(2/11/2026) LA 849 in Caldwell Parish (Project#H.015777) will be closed just south of Little Star Rd beginning Wednesday, February 18, 2026, through Wednesday, February 25, 2026, for the contractor to complete a cross drain replacement.
Detour/Permit: LA 850 to US 165 to LA 126.
