EMERGENCY ROAD CLOSURE
LA 126; WATCO Rail crossing

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that effective immediately, LA 126 at the WATCO rail crossing, west of US 167, will be closed to all traffic until further notice. The purpose of the closure is to repair a broken rail road track in the roadway and repairs are anticipated to last 2 days.
Permit/Detour Section:
Westbound traffic will be detoured north on US 167 to LA 505, then south on LA 505 to LA 126.
Eastbound traffic will be detoured north on LA 505 to US 167, then south on US 167 to LA 126.
Safety Reminder:
All construction activity is weather-dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
