DOTD announces installation of new traffic signal on La. 182 in Carencro

CARENCRO, La. - DOTD announced today that beginning Wednesday, February 18, 2026, a newly installed traffic signal on La. 182 (North University Avenue), at its intersection with Ira St. in Carencro, will be activated for use, weather permitting.
Signage will be in place ahead of the signal activation to remind motorists of the traffic change.
No detour will be necessary during this process.
There will be no truck restrictions and emergency vehicles will have access to the area.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment, as they will be monitoring the signal for proper operation.
