EMERGENCY BRIDGE CLOSURE: US 80 over Panola Bayou in Madison Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the US 80 bridge over Panola Bayou in Tallulah, Madison Parish is closed for emergency repairs.
This bridge is located approximately 1.3 miles west of US 65.
This closure is necessary to allow DOTD crews to mobilize and perform repairs to the bridge deck. The bridge is anticipated to reopen on Monday, February 9, 2026, weather and other factors permitting.
Restrictions/Permits: Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: I-20 to LA 577 to US 80

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
