Closure: Derek Drive at intersection with LA 14 – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that Derek Drive at the intersection with LA 14 will be closed from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026.
The closure is necessary for crews to patch at the intersection of LA 14 and Derek Drive.
Detour information:
- Vehicles wanting to travel east on Derek Drive from LA 14 should turn into Power Center Pkwy eastbound, then continue left onto Dillard Loop northbound.
- Vehicles traveling west on Derek Drive should turn left onto Dillard Loop southbound, then continue westbound onto Power Center Pkwy.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
