DOTD announces start of concrete barrier rail project in Acadiana

ACADIANA REGION – DOTD announces that it has recently began construction on a $511,000 concrete barrier rail project.
The project will include repairing approximately 295 feet of concrete barrier rails on state-owned bridges throughout Acadia, St. Martin, and St. Landry Parishes.
Work will primarily take place Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. However, there will be occasional periods of daytime work.
This project is estimated for completion in May 2026.
This project was made possible by funding from the Louisiana Transportation Infrastructure Fund (LTIF).
