Update on Reimbursement of HeadLight iPads and Mobile Data Service

Attention Consultant Community,
DOTD is updating how HeadLight iPads and mobile data service are treated for reimbursement.
Effective for new advertisements and future contracts: HeadLight iPads and mobile data service will not be reimbursed as a direct expense. These costs are considered part of the consultant’s cost of doing business and must be included in the firm’s indirect (overhead) costs.
For existing contracts: Reimbursement for HeadLight iPads and mobile data service is only allowable when supported by an active HeadLight leasing agreement and invoice. Once a consultant is no longer leasing equipment or mobile data service from HeadLight and no longer receives invoices for those services, there will be no cost eligible for reimbursement as a direct expense under the contract.
Please ensure your invoicing practices reflect this change going forward.
