UPDATE: The I-10 West on-ramp at Sampsosn Street in Westlake is open.

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that the Interstate 10 West on-ramp at Sampson Street in Westlake will be closed, beginning 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
The on-ramp closure is necessary for crews to install traffic control measures.
Detour information:
- Motorists can enter I-10 East at the I-10 South Frontage Road, take Exit 29 (North Lakeshore Drive), U-turn at Veterans Memorial Boulevard, then enter I-10 WB at N. Lakeshore Drive.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
