I-49 Southbound Service Road, Lafayette Parish, Lane Closure

I-49 Southbound service road, located 1.45 miles north of I-10, between Exit 1C (Pont Des Mouton Road) and Exit 2 - LA 98 (Gloria Switch Road), will be reduced to one lane from Monday, February 9 through Thursday, February 12, daily, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to perform work on erosion control improvements in the area.
Emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays.
Traffic will be maintained utilizing a flagging operation.
The road will be open to regular travel with an 11-foot lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the work zone and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
