REOPENED - LA 44 Road Closure, located .26 miles West of LA 54, near Nalco, St John the Baptist Parish

There will be a full roadway closure on LA 44, located .26 miles west of the LA 54 intersection, until further notice due to a vehicle accident that caused damage to an overhead pipe bridge near the Nalco plant. This is a private owned structure and the owner will be coordinating crews and materials to schedule repairs.

Suggested routes to avoid the road closure:
Motorists traveling LA 44 west may take LA 54 north to US 61, then west to LA 3213, then south to re-intersect LA 44.
Motorists traveling LA 44 east may take LA 3213 north to US 61, then east to LA 54, then south to re-intersect LA 44.
