***UPDATE***Grand Lake Pontoon Bridge back in service – Cameron Parish

UPDATE: Grand Lake Pontoon Bridge is back in service and has returned to normal operation.
Cameron Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the temporary operating schedule at Grand Lake Pontoon Bridge remains in effect due to electrical issues.
The bridge is open to vehicle traffic only during the following hours daily: 5 a.m.- 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.-7 p.m.
Technicians working with DOTD discovered the winch on the Grand Lake Pontoon Bridge was damaged by an electrical surge. Replacement parts have been ordered and are anticipated to arrive the week of Feb. 16, 2026.
DOTD will issue an update once the bridge returns to normal operations.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
