St. Tammany Parish, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises motorists that new traffic signals have been installed at the Interstate 12 ramps and LA 1088 in Mandeville.

The signals are scheduled to begin normal operation on Friday, January 30. The signals are an interim traffic control measure and were installed by Love’s Truck Stop through a permitted project.

Once operational, signal timing will be closely monitored and adjusted as needed based on traffic conditions at the intersections.
A future roundabout project is planned for the area; however, additional details will be released at a later date.

Motorists are urged to be alert to the change in traffic patterns and should expect possible delays as drivers adjust to the new signals. Drivers are reminded to eliminate distractions, obey posted speed limits, and never drive while impaired.

Safety reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of space between you and the vehicle ahead.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
