UPDATE - REOPENED: LA 175 between LA 5 & LA 3015, DeSoto Parish
(UPDATE 1/28/2026): DOTD advises motorists that LA 175 in DeSoto Parish has been REOPENED.
If you are traveling today, please use extreme caution and leave plenty of room for crews as they continue to clear and treat roadways impacted by the winter storm.

Original notification - 1/26/2026:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 175 from LA 5 to LA 3015 south of the Kingston community in DeSoto Parish is closed, effectively immediately, due to winter weather conditions and stalled vehicles blocking the roadway.
DOTD will issue a notice when the roadway has been reopened.
DOTD crews have also been working 24 hours a day to keep roadways clear, and to remove ice/snow in order to reopen any closed roads as quickly as possible. The northern and central sections of Louisiana were the hardest hit with wintry weather this past weekend, so DOTD is urging the public to avoid traveling at this time if possible.
