Emergency Lane Closures on I-10 in St. James Parish

ST. JAMES PARISH, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) will implement emergency lane closures today on I-10 in St. James Parish to allow crews to make pothole repairs. Work is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. and is expected to be completed by 3 p.m.
DOTD originally planned to complete repairs this weekend; however weather conditions were not favorable. With rain and colder temperatures in the forecast, DOTD determined the repairs would be most effective today during non-peak travel hours to reduce impacts to motorists.
Drivers should expect delays in the work zone and are encouraged to plan for additional travel time. DOTD reminds motorists to slow down, stay alert and obey all posted signs and traffic controls while crews are working.
