BRIDGES REOPENED: LA 160 over Cypress Bayou, Bossier Parish BOSSIER PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that the $4 million project to replace two bridges on LA 160 over Cypress Bayou/Relief in north Bossier Parish is substantially complete and the roadway has been REOPENED.
The project, which officially began in January 2025, included the removal and replacement of the two structures that are located in close proximity to each other on LA 160 just east of LA 3 near the Rocky Mount community.
Other work in the project included rip rap for erosion control, new roadway base and asphalt paving on the approaches to the bridges, guardrail installation, and fresh roadway striping & signage.
This type of investment in the state’s transportation system ensures continued connectivity for the communities that depend on these bridges.
