Lane closure: North Lakeshore Drive (Service Road) - Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced a continuous closure along the left lane of North Lakeshore Drive where Lakeshore crosses under the Calcasieu River Bridge, beginning 8 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2026, through 5 p.m., Saturday, January 17, 2026.
The closure is necessary for directional drilling in the median between N. Lakeshore Drive and I-10 Eastbound. Work will be conducted weather permitting.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
