DOTD announces the start of local roads signing and striping project in St. Mary Parish

St. Mary Parish, La. — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Wednesday, January 7, 2026, construction will begin on a $745,302.40 project that will include 27.356-miles of local roadways throughout St. Mary Parish.

The project will include signs, plastic pavement striping, and related work.

The work is expected to take place Mondays through Fridays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting.

Intermittent rolling operations and lane closures will be required to perform the work; therefore, drivers should expect delays.

Emergency vehicles will have access through this area but may encounter delays.

The project is estimated for completion in summer 2026.
