***NOW OPEN: LA 576 in Richland Parish***
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, beginning on Monday, December 15th, the LA 576 Bridge over Muddy Bayou, west of Baskin in Richland Parish will be closed for necessary bridge repairs.
The bridge will be closed approximately 2.0 miles west of LA 576.
The closure is anticipated to last 1 week, and should be open Friday, December 19, 2025.
Restrictions/Permits:
Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route:
A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure.
Safety reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
