DOTD Announces Bridge Closure on LA 10 in St. Landry Parish

UPDATE: This closure has been postponed until Monday, January 12, 2026.
St. Landry Parish, La. — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Wednesday, December 3, 2025, a closure will begin on Bayou Tawpaw Bridge on LA 10 near Melville to remove and replace the existing bridge structure.
Detours for this closure include the following:
EASTBOUND TRAFFIC
Travel east on LA 360, and then south on LA 105
WESTBOUND TRAFFIC
Travel north on LA 105, and then west on LA 360
Emergency Vehicles will not have access to the area.
