DOTD Announces Start of $9.2 million bridge preservation project on LA 10 in St. Landry Parish

St. Landry Parish, La. — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Wednesday, November 26, 2025, construction will begin on a $9.2 million project that will include three bridges in a 0.62-mile section of LA 10 near Melville.

The project will include clearing and grubbing, removal of precast slab span concrete bridges, grading, treated subgrade layer, class II base course, drainage structures, pavement patching, asphalt concrete pavement, steel sheeting, precast concrete piles, concrete slab span bridges, and related work.

The work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

Bridge closures are expected throughout the project. The Department will publish additional press releases for these planned bridge closures.

The project is estimated for completion in spring 2028.
