UPDATE: NOW OPEN: I-10 EB, WB over the Calcasieu River Bridge (MP 28.7) – Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE: The bridge inspection has been completed and all lanes are now open to traffic.
Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced I-10 East and West over the Calcasieu River Bridge (MP 28.7) will have lane closures, beginning Tuesday, December 2, 2025, through Friday, December 12, 2025.
Lane closures are scheduled as follows:
I-10 EB: (right lane)
- Dec. 2-4 between 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.
I-10 WB: (right lane)
- Dec. 5 between 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
- Dec. 6-7 between 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
- Dec. 8-9 between 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.
I-10 EB: (right lane)
- Dec. 10-12 between 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.
The lane closures are necessary for routine bridge inspection. All work is weather permitting. Wide loads shall be restricted to 14 feet. Motorists may use I-210 as a detour route.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
