St. Landry Parish, La. — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Thursday, November 20, 2025, portions of the shoulder and inside left lane along I-49 northbound and southbound near the intersection of La. 31 (Creswell Lane) will be closed to the traveling public.

These closures are necessary to allow crews to install light pole foundations as part of the $1.3 million dollar project to install new lighting systems in the area.

Throughout the project, construction work is estimated to take place Sunday through Saturday from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM., as needed, and weather permitting.

The road will be open to regular traffic through the work zone. Emergency vehicles will have access to the area but may encounter delays.
