The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that Ernest Wilson Drive (between Mahaffey Rd. and Capital Dr.) near the LA-1 Intracoastal Bridge will have a full road closure beginning Monday, November 24, 2025, to Tuesday, November 25, 2025, from 7:00pm to 4:00am. These lane closures are necessary to allow the contractor to demolish the concrete decking of the existing bridges over Ernest Wilson Drive.
DOTD urges all drivers to reduce speed, obey posted signage, and remain alert for construction personnel and equipment operating in the work zone.
