UPDATE: At this time, the LAGeaux Truck Permitting software appears to be functionng normally again. The global Cloudflare issue is mostly resolved, though some intermittent disruptions may still occur.

BATON ROUGE, La. –
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) is advising commercial carriers and the trucking industry of intermittent service disruptions affecting the LAGeaux Truck Permitting software due to a worldwide Cloudflare service outage.

The ongoing global outage is causing intermittent access problems that prevent some external customers from using the automated permitting system. Users may receive error messages and may temporarily be unable to automate permits through the portal as the outage fluctuates.

While DOTD’s Truck Permit Office remains able to issue permits internally, these disruptions have led to increased call volume and extended wait times for customers seeking assistance.

The LAGeaux system issues approximately 700-1000 permits daily supporting commercial carriers that keep Louisiana’s economy moving. DOTD recognizes the importance of timely permits and is working closely with the Office of Technology Services (OTS) to restore normal operations as soon as possible.

DOTD will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as new information becomes available.
For assistance with permits, carriers may contact the Truck Permit Office at 800-654-1433. Callers should expect delays until the outage is resolved.
