LA 582 west of Forest in West Carroll Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, beginning on Monday, November 24th, 2025, the LA 582 Bridge over a creek in West Carroll Parish will be closed for a bridge replacement.
The bridge will be closed approximately 3.2 miles west of LA 17.
The closure is anticipated to last 9 weeks, and should be open Friday, January 30, 2026.
Restrictions/Permits:
Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route:
A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure. All vehicles must detour using LA 582, LA 17, and LA 2.
Safety reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
