UPDATE: NOW OPEN- LA 34 AT RR CROSSING/OUACHITA PARISH

***NOW OPEN: LA 34 at RR Crossing in Ouachita Parish***
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that LA 34 in Ouachita Parish at the railroad grade crossing will be closed to all vehicular traffic beginning Friday evening, November 21st until Sunday November 23rd.
The closure is for CPKC Railroad to perform crossing repairs and routine maintenance.
Detour:
A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure. All vehicles must detour using LA 617 and I-20.
Restrictions:
Closed to all vehicular traffic.
Safety Reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
