UPDATE – REOPENED: LA 119 bridge over Bayou Pierre, Natchitoches Parish
NATCHITOCHES PARISH - Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that the emergency repair project for the LA 119 bridge over Bayou Pierre in Natchitoches Parish has been completed, and the roadway has been reopened to traffic.
This bridge is located approximately 5.8 miles north of LA 8.
The project included stabilizing several bents, which are vertical supports for the bridge’s superstructure, as well as adding another span and a sheet pile abutment wall at the east end of the bridge.
DOTD appreciates the patience of the traveling public while this important work was underway.
