H.002424 - LA 70 - Ascension & St. James Parishes (New Traffic Pattern)

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that all lanes on both LA 70 Eastbound and LA 70 Westbound will be opened on Thursday, November 20th, 2025 between LA 22 and the Sunshine Bridge. This new configuration will be the final layout for this portion of roadway. LA 70 shall now function as a 4 – lane divided highway.
Please be advised that daily alternating moving lane closures are scheduled to occur between Monday, November 24th and Wednesday November 26th. These closures will continue between Monday December 1st and Friday Decmeber 5th, 2025. These closures will take place on both LA 70 Eastbound and LA 70 Westbound.
These closures are necessary for placing permanent striping between LA 22 and the Sunshine Bridge.
These closures are subject to change due to adverse weather conditions.
