UPDATE: REOPENED – LA 160 bridge replacements over Dorcheat Bayou, Webster Parish WEBSTER PARISH – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces that work is substantially complete on the project to replace four bridges along LA 160 in Webster Parish, and the roadway is back OPEN to traffic.
The $9.4 million project included the removal and replacement of the bridge over Dorcheat Bayou about 5 miles east of the town of Cotton Valley, along with three other bridges in close proximity on LA 160.
Other work associated with the bridge replacements included grading, drainage structures, pavement patching, roadway base, and asphalt overlay to tie in the roadway to the new bridges.
DOTD would like to extend its sincere appreciation to the community for their patience while this project was ongoing. Investing in the replacement of these bridges, which were all built in the 1960s, is vital because safe, reliable transportation links are the backbone of connected communities.
