UPDATE: La. 82 at Old Intrcoastal Canal is now OPEN to traffic.
VERMILION PARISH, La. - DOTD announces that effective immediately La. 82 at Old Intracoastal Canal (Little Prairie Bridge), is closed to vehicular traffic to allow crews to perform emergency electrical work on the bridge.
DOTD regrets any inconvenience and has crews working to reopen the bridge safely and quickly to traffic.
Motorists are encouraged to use an alternate route.
DOTD will notify the public once the bridge is reopened to traffic.
