DOTD Announces Start of $1.3M lighting project on I-49 in St. Landry Parish

OPELOUSAS, La. — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Thursday, October 30, 2025, construction will begin on a $1.3 million lighting project along a 1.003-mile section of I-49 at La. 31 interchange.
PROJECT SCOPE The project will include lighting and related work.
WORK SCHEDULE The work is estimated to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., weather permitting.
The project is estimated for completion in fall 2026.
