DOTD Announces Overlay Project on LA 30 – Iberville Parish
Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 9:58:49 AM
IBERVILLE PARISH, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that construction is underway on a $3 million project to patch, mill, and overlay LA 30 between LA 74 and the East Baton Rouge Parish line. The project also includes replacing guardrail, mailboxes, and roadway striping.

Beginning Thursday, October 30, 2025, motorists can expect daily alternating lane closures on LA 30 between LA 74 and the East Baton Rouge Parish line. The closures are scheduled to continue through Friday, February 6, 2026, weather permitting.

Work will take place Mondays through Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Flaggers will be present to direct traffic through the work zone, and one lane of travel will remain open at all times. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to plan accordingly.

These closures are necessary to allow crews to perform asphalt patching, milling, and overlay operations. All work is subject to change depending on weather conditions.

This project is being made possible thanks to the Louisiana Legislature’s allocation of additional funding through the Louisiana Transportation Infrastructure Fund, which supports roadway maintenance and infrastructure improvements across the state. A list of those projects can be found here.

Safety Reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and would like to remind drivers to exercise caution and drive with care through construction sites. Please be mindful of work crews and their equipment, and adhere to all posted signage and speed limits.
