NIGHTTIME RAMP CLOSURE: I-20 westbound at Common/Line Ave (Exit 18D), Caddo Parish
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that on the night of Tuesday, October 28, 2025, the I-20 westbound off-ramp to Common Street/Line Avenue (Exit 18D) in Shreveport will be closed.
This closure is scheduled to take place from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., and is necessary to allow for the repair of the crash attenuator at this location.
A crash attenuator, also known as an impact attenuator, is a device intended to reduce the damage to structures, vehicles, and lessen injuries to motorists resulting from a collision. These devices are designed to absorb the colliding vehicle’s energy.
Restrictions/Permits: Total ramp closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route: Appropriate detour signage will be in place.
This work will be performed WEATHER PERMITTING.
