Full closure: 12th Street from 9th Ave. to intersection with LA 14 – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that 12th Street from 9th Avenue to the intersection with LA 14 is closed, effective immediately, until 10 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025.
The closure is necessary for crews to conduct catch basin repairs.
Detour route:
Motorists can use 12th Street, north on 9th Avenue, east on 10th Street, to LA 14.
Note: Closure area is marked in RED. Alternate route is in BLUE.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
