***NOW OPEN: LA 148 in Jackson Parish***
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, beginning on Tuesday, October 14th, the LA 148 Bridge over a creek east of Eros in Jackson Parish will be closed for necessary bridge repairs.
The bridge will be closed approximately 3.0 miles east of LA 34.
The closure is anticipated to last 6 weeks, and should be open Friday, November 21, 2025.
Restrictions/Permits:
Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route:
A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure.
Safety reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
