Calcasieu Parish – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that LA 27 at the railroad crossing just north of US 90 in Sulphur will be reduced to a single lane of travel in each direction, beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025, until 5 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025.
The lane closures are necessary for railroad crews to perform repairs on the railroad crossing.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
