DOTD, state-funded project to kick-off on La. 95 in Acadia Parish

ACADIA PARISH, La. — The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, October 13, 2025, construction will begin on a $5.6 million state-funded project that will include a 4.45-mile section of La. 95 from La. 365 to 0.55 miles south of La. 178.

PROJECT SCOPE
The project will include drainage structures, milling asphalt pavement, pavement patching, fiberglass reinforced paving mat, asphalt concrete overlay and related work.

WORK SCHEDULE
Work is expected to take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., weather permitting.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS
Drivers should expect delays, as intermittent lane closures will be required to perform the work. The road will be open to regular traffic with a 13-foot maximum lane restriction on oversized loads passing through the work zone.

Emergency vehicles will have access through this area but may encounter delays.

The project is estimated for completion in June 2026.
