LA 585 west of Darnell in West Carroll Parish

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development advises motorists that, beginning on Monday, October 13th, 2025, the LA 585 Bridge over a creek in West Carroll Parish will be closed for a bridge replacement.
The bridge will be closed approximately 1.0 mile west of LA 577.
The closure is anticipated to last 12 weeks, and should be open Friday, January 16, 2025.
Restrictions/Permits:
Total road closure at the specified location. All vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.
Alternate Route:
A detour route will be signed and provided for the duration of the closure. All vehicles must detour using LA 577, LA 17, LA 134, and LA 585.
Safety reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
