LANE CLOSURE: LA 114 bridge over Bayou Belle Deau, Avoyelles Parish
(UPDATE 10/8/2025): DOTD advises motorists that the below referenced lane closure on LA 114 in Avoyelles Parish has been extended to take place through Saturday, October 11, 2025.

Original notification - 9/30/2025:
The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) advises the public that, weather permitting, beginning Monday, October 6, 2025 at 7:00 a.m., the westbound lane of the Belle Deau Bridge on LA 114 near Hessmer will be closed to allow for geotechnical investigations.
The work is expected to last 4 days, with the lane closure in effect daily from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Permit/Detour section:
There are no detours at this time associated with the lane closure.
NOTE: There will be a width restriction of 12 feet associated with the lane closure.
