Updated: DOTD provides update on closed bridges in Terrebonne Parish

Terrebonne Parish, LA - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) continues to make significant progress on the DOTD bridges currently closed in Terrebonne Parish.
Phase 1 of the repairs to the Bayou Dularge Bascule Bridge/LA 315 is expected to be completed today, allowing the bridge to reopen to vehicles in a limited capacity starting Wednesday, October 1. On weekdays, the bridge will be open to vehicles during the following times:
- Overnight through 8:30 a.m., 11:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., 12:45 p.m. to 1:15 p.m., 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. (overnight). The bridge will be fully open over the weekend with no vehicle restrictions.
DOTD expects contractors to complete Phase 2 of the repairs by Friday, October 10, allowing the bridge to resume normal operations.
Completed work on the bridge includes structural support repairs, including steel beam installation, concrete work and the installation of new steel rods.
Additionally, substantial structural repairs have been completed on the Bayou Blue Pontoon Bridge/LA 316 and DOTD estimates the bridge will reopen to traffic by October 10, weather permitting.
Completed tasks on this bridge include recasting the pivot pier with concrete, reconditioning the apron assemblies, and replacing gate arms and electrical switches. The work on the testing of the electrical systems and limit switches is ongoing.
