***UPDATE***Work on I-210 EB Ryan St. Exit modifications set to begin Sept. 22, 2025: closures scheduled – Calcasieu Parish

UPDATE: The daily right lane College Street lane closures have been extended to Friday, Oct. 17.

Calcasieu Parish
– The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced that Siema Construction will begin a project to modify the Ryan Street Exit on Interstate 210 Eastbound, starting Monday, September 22, 2025.

The following closures are scheduled.

I-210 EB Off-Ramp and College St. at the I-210 EB On- and Off- Ramps:
  • The left turn lane of the I-210 EB Exit 6 (Ryan Street) Off-Ramp and the center turn lane on College Street at the I-210 EB On- and Off- Ramps will be closed, beginning at 9 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2025, through 4:30 p.m. Friday, October 17, 2025.
  • During this time, the I-210 EB Exit 6 (Ryan Street) Off-Ramp will be Right-Turn Only.

The closures are necessary for crews to construct concrete islands on College Street.

College Street from 500 feet east of Ernest Street to Common Street:
  • The right lane of College Street will be closed from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. daily, beginning Monday, September 22, 2025, through Friday, October 17, 2025, excluding weekends.

The closures are necessary for crews to perform work related to the concrete curb.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
