Belle Chasse Bridge & Tunnel Project: Lane Closure Notice

BELLE CHASSE, LA. - The Belle Chasse Bridge and Tunnel Replacement Project announces the following scheduled construction activities and anticipated traffic impacts.
These closures include LA-23 (current northbound and southbound lanes), Engineers Road, Barriere Road and their respective left turning lanes at the intersections, and the bulb out at Burmaster. As always, these anticipated impacts are weather permitting and subject to potential changes.
Lane Closures: 11/19/25 to 11/26/25 Wednesday (Night) 11/19/25
From 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday
· Alternating Northbound from Barriere Rd. to Algiers Canal
· Right lane Southbound from Algiers Canal to Engineers Rd.
Thursday (Night) 11/20/25
From 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Friday
· Alternating Northbound from Barriere Rd. to Algiers Canal
· Alternating Southbound lanes from Algiers Canal to Barriere Rd.
Sunday (Night) 11/23/25
From 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday
· Alternating Northbound from Barriere Rd. to Algiers Canal
· Alternating Southbound lanes from Algiers Canal to Barriere Rd.
Monday (Night) 11/24/25
From 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Tuesday
· Alternating Northbound from Barriere Rd. to Algiers Canal
· Right lane Southbound from Algiers Canal to Engineers Rd.
· Engineers Detour - Engineers Rd. right turn lane closed
Tuesday (Night) 11/25/25
From 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday
· Alternating Northbound from Barriere Road to Algiers Canal
· Right lane Southbound from Algiers Canal to Engineers Rd.
