Nighttime closure: I-10 WB on-ramp at Sampson Street – Calcasieu Parish

Calcasieu Parish - The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced the Interstate 10 West on-ramp at Sampson Street will be closed from 7 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, to 5 a.m. Friday, September 19, 2025. A lane of the access road will also be closed during this time.
The closure is necessary for crews to install a new protective bridge warning structure on the access road. Work will be conducted weather permitting.
Detour Routes: I-10 Westbound On-Ramp at Sampson Street:
- Motorists can use the I-10 EB on-ramp and cross the Calcasieu River Bridge; Exit at Lakeshore Drive, loop to N. Lakeshore Drive and use I-10 WB on-ramp. Detour signage is in place.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
