Terrebonne Parish, LA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces the full reopening of the LA 57 Daigleville Bridge in Houma.
The bridge was closed to vehicular traffic in February due to mechanical issues that have been addressed. Work included the reconditioning of bridge lift motors, the replacement of faulty cabling, and the repair of a bent girder.
The repair work was performed by C.E.C., Inc. (Lafayette, LA), which had recently worked on the bridge, having previously performed repairs stemming from damage caused by Hurricane Ida in 2021. Hurricane Ida repairs included brake, electrical, bridge house door and ceiling, and barrier fixes.
